Field Impairment Reproduction and Regression Validation

BestPerf Network Quality Measurement + ChaosBridge WAN Emulator

Measure, reproduce and regress real network impairments when customer issues are difficult to reproduce and fixes are hard to confirm.

Why

Requirements

Mobile apps, conferencing, industrial remote control, cross-region systems and cloud services often fail only in the field. Causes combine delay, jitter, burst loss, bandwidth reductions, micro-outages, DNS/TLS variations and application retries, rather than one fixed delay or loss value.

Guessing fixed delay or random loss may reproduce the wrong scenario. Record quality with BestPerf, retain abnormal sessions with Flow Hunter and apply measured impairments with ChaosBridge. Where needed, replay field PCAPs with NetAccura Traffic Generation to reproduce from evidence.

Reproduce the Link in the Lab

Install ChaosBridge between client and server and apply the measured profile. For traffic-driven issues, replay field PCAPs with NetAccura Traffic Generation to reproduce the same input. Keep real clients and servers for login, handshake and application-response tests.

Result

Expected Outcomes

Bring Field Issues into the Lab

Repeatedly trigger, observe and fix issues in a controlled environment instead of relying on remote customer-site troubleshooting.

Verify Fixes under the Same Scenario

Use identical quality profiles and samples before and after a fix to show whether the issue is resolved and experience improves.

Produce Reviewable Reports and Evidence

Deliver more than throughput or delay figures: include topology, parameters, timelines, quality curves, key sessions, anomalies, PCAP extracts and retest results. Development, testing, operations, vendors and customers can discuss the same evidence rather than relying on screenshots, verbal descriptions and repeated debate.
